About Foxwood Veterinary Physiotherapy
My name is Sam Edgar and I am the owner of Foxwood Veterinary Physiotherapy. From a young age, I have always aspired to work with all breeds of animals. My childhood was built around looking after family pets and learning how to ride horses. I have always had a passion for animals and caring for them will always be a subject close to my heart. I have studied Veterinary Physiotherapy at Harper Adams University for four years, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy. During this, I completed a placement year, working six months in the canine industry and six months in the equine industry. During my first six months, I worked alongside Clarie Sharkey at Paddling Pups. Paddling Pups is one of Northern Ireland's leading canine hydrotherapy centers and working here was a great experience and insight into canine rehabilitation. In addition, I have also completed a six month placement at TroyTown GreyAbbey Equine Hospital in Co. Kildare, Ireland. They possess the leading technologies in equine lameness diagnostics. I was able to work alongside a team of veterinary professionals and took part in the rehabilitation of all lameness cases.
I am now a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP).
